At 1309hrs Dorchester Central dispatched Station 1 units to assist on A "WOODS FIRE" at CRAPO POST OFFICE @2568 LAKESVILLE CRAPO RD in the Lakes & Straits Box Area 41-2. Command (Forestry) advised all responding units to be cautious as it was high tide and roads leading to the fire were washed out. Engine 1-3 responded at 1310hrs with a crew of 3 and arrived on location at 1338hrs to assist Special Unit 46-1 extinguish an RV fire, complete overhaul and clean up. Other crews (Forestry, & Blackwater) cut A line through the woods to cut off the fire. At 1426hrs with the RV extinguished and a line cut around the woods fire command released Station 1 (Cambridge), 66 (Taylors Island) & 500 (Madison PM) units to return to service. All units cleared the scene and returned to service without incident.
