Haz-mat Box 1-1 UM Shore Medical Center at Dorchester

At 7:35AM Dorchester Central dispatched units for the Haz-mat incident at 300 BYRN ST (ODGH) in the Cambridge 1-1 Box Area. Chief 1 arrived on location and set up A unified command with police and hospital staff to come up with a plan to remove the hazard. Engine 1-3 & Haz-mat 1-1 arrived on location to enact the plan to remove the hazard using Level C protection. Crews removed the hazard without complication securing the product and the container. Engine 1-3 was used to DECON the firefighters and equipment. At 10:00AM with the hazard contained and the situation under control Engine 1-3 & Haz-mat 1-1 were released without incident. The unified command was terminated approx. 1 hour later after A meeting with all involved.
