2nd Alarm at 738 Race St

At 9:17 AM Dorchester Central dispatched units for A STRUCTURE FIRE in the area of WASHINGTON ST / RACE ST in the Cambridge 1-1 Box Area. Chief 1 (Adam Pritchett) arrived on location with fire through the roof at 738 Race St and established command. Engine 1-3 & Tower 1-1 arrived on location quickly from 307 Gay St (Old Fire Station) to make an aggressive attack from side Charlie to division 2. Command requested A 2nd alarm assignment bringing additional units and personnel to the scene to help extinguish this fire and handle additional alarms in the 1st due area. At 11:44AM with the fire extinguished, overhaul complete, and units packed command was terminated (turning the scene over to Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office for investigation) and all units were placed in service. 1 Firefighter was transported to the hospital for injuries received in the process of extinguishing this fire and has since been released.
