Working Fire 315 Shepherds Ave

At 9:32AM the Volunteers of Rescue Fire Company Inc. were dispatched for a reported house fire at 315 Shepherds Ave in Cambridge. Chief 1-1 (Captain 1-1) AOL with smoke showing from A 1½ story single family dwelling, established command and requested A Working Fire Taskforce (bringing additional personnel and equipment to the the scene). The 360 report revealed A working fire on side "D" (Delta) in the kitchen/dining area and confirmed the structure clear of all occupants. Engine 1-3 AOL with fire attack and advanced the initial (1¾) attack line into the structure to extinguish the fire. Engine 1-2 took the second (1¾) attack line into the structure to assist with fire attack, overhaul and ventilation. The lack of volunteers brought A 2nd Alarm request from command to get additional personnel and equipment to the scene. At 11:22AM with the situation under control command was terminated and all units were placed in service without incident.
This fire is under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal
