Box Alarm 61-3 Commercial Building Fire

At 7:50AM Dorchester Central dispatched Station 1 units for A mutual aid Commercial Building Fire at 5420 Linkwood Rd (Valley Proteins) in Linkwood Md. Chief 1-2 (Ben McCarter) arrived on location w/ smoke showing from the alpha side garage doors and eaves. He had the crews from DCEMS complete the 360 to find similar conditions around the building. The chief established command and quickly requested a working fire task force and then a full 2nd alarm to get additional equipment started to this location. First units arrived to quickly extinguish the fire and confirmed the fire was contained to the dryer and ductwork. The assignment was held to units on location and responding to complete investigation, ventilation and overhaul. At 9:12AM command placed the situation under control and released all units at 9:47AM without incident.

8:14AM Per command hold to units on location and responding (fire contained to the dryer system)
9:08AM Per command PM101 & 600 both released from the scene.
9:12AM Per command the situation is under control
9:21AM Rescue Engine 1-1 & Engine 1-3 both clear the scene returning
9:30AM Linkwood Rd now reopened to all traffic
9:47AM Command terminated, and all units placed in service without incident.
9:59AM All Station 1 units in quarters
