At 1347hrs (1:47pm) Dorchester Central dispatched units for the "COMMERCIAL FIRE ALARM at 701 RACE ST (THE BRADFORD HOUSE APARTMENTS). The call was quickly upgraded to a Still Box (Extinguished Fire) for burnt food in the microwave. Chief 1 arrived on location and established command, holding the box to 1 engine after his 360 investigation. Engine 1-3 handled positive pressure ventilation of the 4th floor apartment, with the situation under control all units were placed in service without incident.
