At 0035hrs (1235 AM) Dorchester Central dispatched units for a "Working Structure Fire". Units arrived on location to find fire through the roof and requested a 2nd alarm assignment (adding additional units/firefighters to the call). The fire was knocked (extinguished) using multiple attack lines (hoses) from the first arriving engine (Engine 1-3) approx. 900' of 5" supply line (hose) and at least 1 attack line (hose) from Rescue Engine 1-1 on side charlie (rear). While no firefighter was transported to the hospital multiple firefighters fell through the floor. DCEMS transported 1 patient (resident) from the scene to the local hospital (DGH). Salvage/overhaul was complete and all units cleared the scene without incident. This fire remains under investigation via the State Fire Marshal's office. If it is not asking to much where was the fire?

As always, thank for you for everything you do, including these reports. They are well written, and the photos are amazing.
It's so valuable to the Dorchester Banner, because this allows us to get the news to our readers when we can't be present at the scene.
Thanks again,
Dave Ryan
