At 1824hrs (6:24pm) Dorchester Central dispatched units for an odor of gas in a structure at 300 Byrn St (Dorchester General Hospital). Units arrived on location with a strange odor at the waterside clinic nurses station. After an extensive investigation with multiple gas meters on multiple floors it was determined not to be gas but a problem with the pneumatic tube system. The system was placed out of service and with the situation under control command was terminated and all units were placed in service without incident.
