Box Alarm 1-1 “DS SMITH”

At 1643hrs Dorchester Central dispatched units for A COMMERCIAL BUILDING FIRE @ 903 WOODS RD "DS SMITH" (The old INTERSTATE CONTAINER Building) in the Cambridge 1-1 Box Area. Engine 1-3 arrived on location with smoke in the building, sprinkler activation and A hydrant on side alpha of the structure. Engine 1-3 officer (Captain 1-3) established command while the crew went to work deploying 300' of attack line into the structure. Other units arrived to assist/support operation advancing an additional 100' of attack line (High Rise Pack) into the structure to extinguish the fire (Box Cutter Machine). Command placed the situation under control approx. 75 mins later and all units were placed in service without incident. (
