Box Alarm 1-2 Garage Fire

On Tuesday May 25th at 1:08PM Dorchester Central dispatched the volunteers for a Garage Fire at 1504 Bayly Rd in Cambridge Md. Engine 1-3 arrived on location to find A working structure fire w/ multiple tires etc..., Captain 1-1 established command while the crew stretched A 2" attack line to start extinguishing the fire. Other units arrived on location to assist with extinguishment stretching A 2.5" and multiple 1.75" attack lines. Chief 1-1 arrived on location and assumed command requesting A working Fire and A full 2nd Alarm for personnel because of the extreme heat conditions/extensive overhaul. Command also requested an excavator to assist with the overhaul and class "A' foam to assist with extinguishment. Approx. 40 gallons of foam and over 10,000 gallons of water was used to extinguish the fire. The situation was placed under control at approx. 3:48pm and all units were placed in service without incident. 24 volunteers from RFC responded to this incident.

On Wednesday May 26th at 8:40AM Dorchester Central dispatch the volunteers for a reported rekindle at the location. Units responded to find a small fire of debris and stretched an 1.75" attack line to extinguish the fire and wet down the area w/ class "A" foam...
