| Just before 11:30am on Wednesday morning volunteers from Rescue Fire Company and other mutual-aid departments were alerted for a working house fire. Dispatch advised responding units that Cambridge PD was on scene with fire on the first floor and front side of the house.
Chief 1-1 upgraded the call to a 2nd alarm. Engine 1-3 stretched handlines to the house and began knocking down some of the exterior fire, Tower 1-1 crew arrived and assisted the engine with operations. Once the fire on the exterior was knocked crews began interior operations and began extinguishing the fire.
Engine 1-2 supplied the fire scene with water from the hydrant at Bayly rd. via a hydrant assist device. Engine 1-2 and Engine 1-1 crews assisted with operations. As other mutual-aid departments arrived they were given various tasks such as overhaul and checking for extension.
No injuries were reported, the fire is currently being investigated by the Maryland State Fire Marshals Office. |
