At 07:07 Dorchester Central dispatched Station 1 units for A reported car fire on the Malkus Bridge (Eastbound). Engine 1-3 responded quickly with A crew of 4 and arrived on location confirming 1 vehicle 100% involved at 1A Sunburst Highway (Riverview At The Point). Engine 1-3 officer (Captain 1-1) upgraded the assignment to A Full Box Alarm noting exposures less than 10' from the structure and requested CPD to shut down Rt50 eastbound. Crews extinguished the fire and protected the exposures noting no extension into the structure. At approx. 07:19 the situation was placed under control and all additional units/stations were placed in service. At 07:52 with the fire extinguished and no extension noted command was terminated and all units were placed in service without incident.
