3 Alarm House Fire at 119 Willis St

At 11:46AM Dorchester Central dispatched units for a reported working house fire with multiple calls at 119 Willis St in Cambridge. Chief 1-2 AOL of A 2½ story single family dwelling and confirmed working fire with extension into dwellings on the Bravo & Delta sides. Chief 1-2 established command and requested a 2nd & 3rd Alarm (bringing addition equipment and personnel to the scene). The first arriving Engine (1-3) AOL with an initial Blitz Attack to knock down the bulk of the fire and protect the exposures. The volunteers of Rescue Fire Company Inc. along with crews from (Trappe, Hurlock, Church Creek, Linkwood-Salem, East New Market, Secretary, Vienna, Oxford, St Michaels, Easton, & Delmar) then advanced lines and ladders to extinguish the fire. Overhaul, and clean up was extensive with 3 structures involved but was completed by 4:00PM with 50+ volunteers on scene. At 4:06PM with the situation under control command was terminated and all units were placed in service without incident. The scene was turned over to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office for investigation.
