Box Alarm 1-2 Car Fire w/ Exposure

At 6:04AM Dorchester Central dispatched volunteer units for A reported car fire 801 Slacum St in Cambridge, Md. Per dispatch "CPD on location advised 2 vehicles fully involved close to a structure". Chief 1 enroute upgraded to A Full Box Assignment based on CPD report & AOL confirming CPD report. He established command and advised Engine 1-3 to hold it's lay and nose in to Slacum St. The crew from Engine 1-3 went into attack mode extinguishing the fire with A single 1.75" attack line, Class "A" Foam and 1500 gallons of tank water from E1-3 & RE1-1. Crews checked the home for any signs of extension using thermal imaging cameras and completed A visual walk through. The Maryland State Fire Marshal was called in to investigate the cause of the fire. At 7:44AM command was terminated and all Station 1 units were placed in service without incident. (11 volunteers from Rescue Fire Company Inc. responded to this incident as well as volunteers from Trappe & Church Creek)
