At 3:38PM Dorchester Central dispatched volunteer units for A reported garage fire at 2347 Church Creek Rd in Cambridge, Md. Per dispatch "CPD on location advised the fire is out but still have smoke coming from the eaves". Chief 1 AOL with lazy smoke coming from the eaves and garage area and established command. He advised to cancel the Tankers as this is a hydrant area. Command also advised that the hydrant is in front of the structure for Engine 1-3 layout. Multiple crews went into investigation mode covering the garage and attic space with no visible fire evident. Crews performed positive pressure ventilation to clear out the remaining smoke, checked the building with thermal imaging cameras, and completed a visual walk through of the structure. The Maryland State Fire Marshal was called in to investigate the cause of the fire. At 4:30PM command was terminated and all Station 1 units were placed in service without incident. (17 volunteers from Rescue Fire Company Inc. responded to this incident as well as volunteers from Church Creek, Madison, Linkwood-Salem, East New Market, and Secretary)
